Jan, Office Manager

I have been working in the dental field since 2013 after a chance meeting with a local dentist. Before this, I was a stay at home Mom and before that I was a high school English teacher in Louisiana. Getting to know the patients over the years and learning about all that can be accomplished through dentistry has been a fantastic experience.

Katrina may have moved me and my wonderful family to Knoxville, but the people have truly made it my home as there is so much to enjoy in this area.

Stephanie, Insurance Coordinator

I have been in the dental field for the last 30 years. I was a dental assistant for 27 years, before transitioning to the wonderful world of dental insurance! I’m a musician, an avid gardener, and devoted “Mimi” to my beautiful grandchildren.

I moved to Knoxville in 2023 wanting a fresh start. Although this is not my first time working in an office, this is the first time it has felt like family! As much as I loved dental assisting, working up front and getting to interact with each and every patient is the best reward. Outside of the office, I love to spend time exploring all that Knoxville has to offer, especially finding new hiking trails!

I have enjoyed working as a hygienist and helping my patients maintain their beautiful smiles since 1982. I love spending time with my two daughters, two sons-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters. I’m glad to have been able to connect and grow with my patients over the years and happy to be a team member at Fountain City Smiles.

I have loved being a hygienist for the last 30+ years and getting to know our great patients. I was born, raised and educated in Ohio. I have two children and three grandchildren. When I am not at work, you can find me on my boat relaxing or at home where I cook and am learning to quilt.

Marisa, RDH

I have always been fascinated by the dental world ever since I was little. My family always jokes that I love “dentist day” more than Christmas or my own birthday. I was born, raised, and educated in Central Illinois. I moved to Knoxville after I graduated May 2025 with my boyfriend and my cat, Maizie. Besides chit chatting with patients and talking about all things teeth, I enjoy shopping, strolling around the zoo/aquarium, and sloths.

I have been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2014. Patient care and knowing I would be part of a team that would accomplish something positive in patient’s lives is what drew me to dentistry and it has not disappointed. Seeing patients leave with a smile is the best feeling and what I strive for with every single visit.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my daughter. We love being at the lake especially with family and friends. We enjoy road trips and new adventures.
